SOLO EXHIBITION

“An Homage to Old Kent Road ”

March-April 2024
Combining the wonder of the Canterbury Tales and the charm of current-day residents, I painted this small series of works in response to the diverse community on Old Kent Road. I took great inspiration from old church murals, retablos and the vibrancy of East Street Market. Found objects, paper mache, acrylic paint and flecks of gold make up these five whimsical shrines.

EXHIBITION

”KAUR”

August 2023

Alongside performances by musicians, poets, storytellers and an interview of special guest Suresh Singh, my painting “Nectar” was displayed at the all-day event.

“‘Kaur’ in Sikhism is the last name given to women, for them to maintain strength and independence. Kaur phonetically sounds like core, the root of everything, the heart, the substance, the centre of earth. The exhibition will explore themes of identity, community and experiences as a society or from an individuals perspective.“ - Event curator @daddywarbuckkss
